What is the weight of your bumpers?
It depends on the model of truck you have, and which bumper you are electing to purchase. Most of the 1500 Series trucks have bumpers that weigh between 150 lbs and 200 lbs, depending on the style of brush guard you choose. The 2500 and up Series trucks have bumpers that weigh from 165 lbs to 240 lbs, again depending on the style of brush guard you choose. Will a winch fit in the bumper?
Absolutely. Most of our bumpers will accommodate up to a 16,500 lb. winch for ¾ ton and up models, and most half-ton models will accommodate up to a 9500 lb. winch. The winch can be front-mounted or bottom-mounted, depending on the model. When purchasing the winch that you want, please either call to verify or refer to your specific bumper to see the winch options that we have available to fit that particular bumper. All winch options will vary depending on the bumper design.
Can your bumpers be changed from one make or model truck to another?
No, our bumpers have been produced to follow the contour of the truck for which it was designed. However, some bumpers fit multiple years of a particular truck make and model.
Will your bumpers work with a body lift?
Our standard designs will not fit without modifications. Please contact your installer to determine if they have the ability to develop mounts specific to your lift modifications.
On your rear bumpers, will I retain my factory receiver?
Yes, you will retain your factory receiver.
Do your rear bumpers accommodate reverse sensors?
Rear sensors will fit in most of our bumper designs. Let your dealer or installer know and they can put them in the bumper at the time of installation.
**NOTE: On Dodge trucks, we cannot guarantee that your sensors will function properly with our after-market bumper.**
Where are your bumpers produced?
All bumpers have been designed and built in our manufacturing facility in Bay Springs, Mississippi. We are proud that all of our bumpers are made right here in the US by American craftsmen.
Are lights included with the bumpers?
Lights are not included in the base price, but can be added as an option when purchasing a bumper. Incandescent reverse lights (approximately 400 lumens) are included with the standard rear bumpers and license plate lights are included when the OEM version does not work with our bumpers. You can also upgrade the reverse lights to LED (approximately 1200 lumens) for the standard rear bumper or add flush mount LED cube lights for the flush mount style rear bumpers at the time of your order.
Do your bumpers affect how the airbags deploy?
No, the airbag is not deployed from contact with the bumper. There is a sensor within the car, not located on the bumper, which tells the bag to inflate. Inflation happens when there is a collision force equal to running into a brick wall at 10 to 15 miles per hour (16 to 24 km per hour). A mechanical switch is flipped when there is a mass shift that closes an electrical contact, telling the sensors that a crash has occurred. The sensors receive information from an accelerometer built into a microchip.
Is Hammerhead™ Armor in affiliation with any other bumper companies?
No, Hammerhead™ Armor is owned by Hol-Mac Corporation, which has a long history in welding products for some of the largest mining trucks in the world. Some off-road enthusiasts that work for Hol-Mac got together and decided they would like to produce a product they were passionate about. All Hammerhead Armor products go through the same quality standards that we have throughout our company. Hol-Mac Corporation is an ISO 9001:2008 certified company. Hammerhead Armor products are only welded by personnel with AWS D1.1 welding certification. You are getting “A1” products at Hammerhead Armor.
Can I buy directly from your factory?
Yes, through this website you are able to purchase directly from Hammerhead™ Armor. You can also purchase the bumpers from dealers by going to our Dealers page on this website.
What is the paint on your bumpers?
We currently offer a textured wrinkle powder coat which provides full coverage and a semi-slip-resistant finish when stepping onto the bumper. If you would prefer to have the bumper unpainted, we can also offer that. At checkout, just select the paint option that you desire. If uncoated, the bumper will be shipped with an oil coating to prevent rusting. Remember to wash it thoroughly before painting. The uncoated option is NOT prepped for paint, so keep this in mind when deciding if you want to order uncoated or black wrinkle powder coated.
Are any modifications required to mount it on the truck?
No, if your truck’s original bumper mounts have not been damaged, then your Hammerhead™ Armor bumper should be a “bolt-on” installation. If you do have any questions just give us a call and we will help you with the answers.
Does the bumper increase my towing capabilities?
No, the bumper does not add to your towing capabilities.
What are the bumpers made of?
Hammerhead™ Armor bumpers are produced from the same high-quality steel that produces the largest mining trucks in the world. The thickness of the steel varies by bumper and part. The half-ton models consist of 5/16” mounts, 3/4" shackle mounts, 3/16” center and winch mount, and 1/8” sides. The ¾-ton and up models consist of 3/8” mounts, 1” shackle mounts, 3/16” center and outers. It is an A36 carbon steel that is brought into our building in plate form and we shot blast the plate to remove scale, cut the plate, form the plate, machine the plate, and weld the plate to produce your bumpers within the walls of our factory.
How much is shipping and where does it ship to?
Shipping is free to a commercial address within the continental United States via LTL Freight. This DOES NOT include residential delivery OR lift gate services. Residential deliveries will incur a $75.00 residential delivery fee. Lift gate services MUST be requested PRIOR to shipping; otherwise, we will not authorize these charges. Lift gate delivery service charges will cost an additional $135.00. If your order cannot be delivered to the address that you provided, you will be contacted by the closest shipping dock to your address when your order has arrived to set up a pickup or delivery time. What is Hammerhead™ Armor’s return policy?
If you are not completely delighted with your Hammerhead™ Armor purchase, we will gladly accept returns within 10 business days from receipt.

• All returns must be initiated by contacting Hammerhead Armor customer service so a Return Goods Authorization (RGA) number can be issued.
• Unused products, in resalable condition, must be returned in original packaging and include all packaging materials. The RGA number should be displayed on the outside packaging in visible letters. Please include a copy of the original invoice in the package. Returned products shipped freight collect to Hammerhead Armor will be refused.
• Customers will be charged a 15% restocking fee and are responsible for return shipping charges.
• Original delivery fees will not be refunded unless an error occurred on Hammerhead Armor’s part in the shipment of your order. Please note it is your responsibility to inspect all orders prior to acceptance. If the order arrives damaged, refuse the shipment.

**NOTE: All SALE purchases are FINAL. Returns/exchanges on sale merchandise will not be accepted. Custom (non-standard production) orders are NOT eligible for return; this includes, but is not limited to, any modifications made after shipment of the product.

What is Hammerhead™ Armor’s cancellation policy?
• Hammerhead™ Armor’s customers will not be charged a cancellation fee on orders for current year model production products.
• Orders for non-current year model production products will be charged a $100 cancellation fee.
• All cancellations must be made prior to shipment.

**NOTE: Custom orders are NOT eligible for cancellation after 24 hours of original order placement.

What is Hammerhead™ Armor’s warranty?
All claims must be initiated by contacting Hammerhead™ Armor warranty department within 30 days of defect discovery. Hammerhead Armor's warranty department can be reached at (601) 764-4121 and must be contacted before a claim is filed. Customer service hours are 7:00 A.M. – 4:30 P.M. (CST) Monday – Friday.

Hammerhead Armor products are warranted for one year from date of purchase against any manufacturing defects limited to the replacement or repair of the product(s) and non-transferable. The warranty does not cover defects caused by improper installation, intentional damage, misuse, product modifications or normal wear and tear that occurs after purchase. Any warranty claims must include the invoice or original order number and product from the initial purchase.

Any warranty issues in regards to shipping need to be notified to Hammerhead Armor within 30 days of receipt of product. With ALL freight shipments, product needs to be thoroughly inspected upon arrival due to the possibly of concealed damage due to freight carriers and/or packaging issues. If anything with your shipment is damaged, please contact your dealer or Hammerhead Armor directly, so we can take action immediately to correct the problem.

All warranty considerations must be communicated to Hammerhead Armor PRIOR to any work being done. A claim number must be assigned to each case in order for any warranty coverage to be considered.

*Note: Damaged product(s) from warranty claims must be returned to Hammerhead Armor within 30 days of product replacement; otherwise product will be billed to customer. To schedule the pickup of a damaged product, please notify Hammerhead Armor when the damaged product is ready.
What is the difference between your flush mount rear bumper and standard rear bumper?
Both rear bumper designs are the same EXCEPT for the style lights they take. The standard rear bumper will accommodate a 4" round reverse light. The standard rear bumper includes a basic incandescent reverse light, or you can upgrade to an LED option for an additional cost. The standard rear bumper will also have our HH logo cut out in front of the light. The flush mount rear bumper will accommodate a flush (or flange) mounted LED cube light. The flush mount rear bumper has a square cut out to mount a flush mounted LED cube light from the outside of the bumper seating into the bumper. The flush mount rear bumper does not include the lights, but they can be purchased in addition to the bumper.
